■Importance of promotion through banner

▷Kim Yo-Seop: The concept of media within the college can be unfamiliar to students. Because students do not come to university often due to COVID-19, they rarely know which institutions exist in here. It is necessary to inform students of the difference between us and the established press and whether Channel PNU is an affiliated institution of PNU or an independent student body. Channel PNU has to be reborn as a media along with school members by instilling an awareness of the existence of the Channel PNU through publicity. Including a crossword puzzle in “PNU newspaper” might be a good idea.

▷Yang Hyeon-Bo: It is classic, but it seems practical to promote it through banners. Even though it is cumbersome to hang and recollect, those stand out conspicuously, especially when students come to campus for face-to-face classes.

▷Jeong Se-Yun: While online promotion is lightly consumed and can be scrolled through quickly, offline advertising can imprint clearly on students even though the participants are fewer. It would be better for Channel PNU to introduce offline publicity.

▷Boonyanuch Kateboonlue: A few people read newspapers for comics and quizzes even though they don’t read the articles. Establishing a partnership with cartoon clubs or the department of fine arts within the campus and regularly publishing exciting content in the PNU newspaper and Hyowon Herald might be helpful to increase the number of fixed readers. It is also an excellent idea to promote in the same way the general students’ association did, distributing snacks and newspapers offline.

■The necessity of diversifying information for the workplace

▷Jo Seol-Ah: I felt some articles are one-sided. In the article about abolishing the Dept. of German Language Education and the Dept. of French Language Education, students’ side opinions were over-represented, while views of headquarters less-represented.. Students who know all the details and contents will sympathize with the article, but I felt that those who first encountered the content could agree with what the article had said and have a one-sided perspective. Therefore, when writing articles, I hope the opinions of both sides are equally included.

▷Boonyanuch Kateboonlue: When reading articles through the Channel PNU homepage, it was nice to easily access translated versions as they were linked to a related article at the end. In addition, I liked that exclusive content can be read-only through Channel PNU by dealing with lots of issues within the campus, which makes a difference with the established press.

▷Jeong Se-Yun: I read articles because they said “employment,” but most contents were about introducing the company. When we say employment, most recall spec (qualification), including information that can be experienced for the job rather than presenting the company. The former is more likely to benefit students.

▷Kim Yo-Seop: It would be better to include information-oriented content, such as companies that offer field practice, and information on open exhibits in the employment category, with the help of the Human Resource Development Center.

■Supplementing video, audio, and design

▷Jo Seol-Ah: In the SeoByeokBeol Library related video article, there were no numbers regarding total respondents on the survey, and what ratio was the result. When producing future video contents, displaying the exact figures for the reliability of the data seems important.

▷Kim Yo-Seop: When I type “Channel PNU” on YouTube, I was not able to find the account. There are some people who search Channel PNU because they know it, but some students just know us as “PNU media.” Combining the channel name into one seems necessary.

In the case of radio, it is necessary to separate the using other platforms such as Naver Radio, and not to post it on YouTube with other videos. Already existing press post radio contents on their radio category which is separately made on homepage, and I recommend Channel PNU to consider this agenda.

▷Gu Ji-Wan: Broadcasting radio in campus dining rooms rather than at “NeokNeokHanTeo” and “Road of think” might be a better option. People who come to eat alone are more likely to listen to the radio, but there might be few students listening to broadcasts standing at "NeokNeokHanTeo.”

▷Yang Hyeon-Bo: The cover of Hyowon Herald magazine does not have a distinct characteristic. Any person who reads this magazine should be reminded of Hyowon Herald and Channel PNU, but current design does not make readers do so. The design is so nice, but foreign students are also taking classes in Korean, so it seems to be a good way to write the Hyowon Herald in Korean below.

■Increase the number of newsstands and speakers

▷Yang Hyeon-Bo: Through a demand survey on each newsstand, it is better to move the stands with no practicality to other places and make those more visible to students. Additionally, changing the design of the newsstand reflecting the color of Channel PNU can be an intelligent idea.

▷Kim Yo-Seop: Because the dormitory is the best place where many students, including international students, pass by, I recommend considering installing a newsstand at the dormitory.

▷Gu Ji-Wan: Through establishing additional speakers or repairs, I hope Channel PNU can deliver campus news to students in a more approachable way.
