While Pusan National University (PNU) ran its first graduation week instead of the graduation ceremony, PNU’s shopping mall called "PNU Mall" introduced its degree uniform.

From February 23rd to 25th, PNU mall provided rental services of graduation gowns for 900 graduates during the graduation week. The interesting thing about PNU mall’s graduation gown is that it directly reflected the views of the students. The original gown used to be black, but their gown expresses the school logo or the signal color of the school. 

Yoon So-young, the manager of the PNU mall, said, "We wanted to appeal to the identity of Pusan National University by putting in some distinction. We hope the graduates feel proud of PNU." 

The mall held a gown rental service during the season. Users could borrow the clothes for 10000 won (deposit of 30000 won separately). Also, PNU mall ran a photo zone with the mascot of PNU called 'Sanjini' and managed the flower booth too. 

Many affirmative responses came out after the event. Cha Seung-Heon (Dept. of Public Policy and Management, 20) said, "I attended the vote when I heard the news that the graduation gown is going to be made by students’ participation. It is nice to have a gown with a school logo and signal color to attract attention.” 

PNU mall is going to hold the same event every year for graduation. They will operate the graduation gown rental service again and run various graduation ceremony booth events. 

Meanwhile, 4,854 graduates received a degree in 2021. There were 3,419 Degree graduates , 1,164 at master degrees and 271 at doctor's degrees.
